The Tinker Hatfield model, the first basketball shoe to employ patent leather, served as the inspiration for the Air Jordan 1 Low "Concord." The mesh tongues complement the white leather foundation of the uppers. The livelier appearance above is finished off with clean white laces and a tongue, while the heel's distinctive addition—an embroidered winged insignia—is surrounded by pitch-black panelling.

Patent leather in black contrasts Overlays and swooshes are accent characteristics. Additional branding features of the Jordan 1 Low SE Concord include the printed insoles, the Jumpman emblems on the tongues, and the Wings branding on the back.
